40-year-old David Race of Beaver Creek, OH has become the 6th gamer in history to gain a perfect score on the original Pac-Man video arcade game. Even more noteworthy is the fact that he's done it in faster time than any gamer in history, putting him at the top of a short list of gamers who have achieved perfection on the original arcade machine.

Hi All,
TI99Sim is a very good emulator of Texas Instruments TI99 home computer running
on Windows and Unix. The emulator faithfully imitates the TI99/4 model
(see http://www.mrousseau.org/programs/ti99sim/)
Wiz-TI99 is a port on Wiz of the version i've previously ported to PSP.
Many new features have been added compared to GP2X-F100 version.
Here is a copy of the changelog :
- Cheat support !
- New background images
- Text editor to write your own comments on games
- Text editor to modify the global cheat.txt file
- Display first comment line while browsing game files
- Memory monitoring engine to find your own cheat code !
- Improve file requester with virtual keyboard to choose
sequentially rom files beginning with a given letter
- Add documentation for settings in help menu
- A thumbnail image is now displayed in the file requester
while selecting any file with the same name of a previously
saved game (cartridges, keyboard, settings).
It might be very helpful to recognize that game later if you
have thousand different games on your cartridges folder !
How to use it ? Everything is in the README.txt file.
If you want to convert games etc ... have a look to Ti99/sim web site
for more informations (http://www.mrousseau.org/programs/ti99sim/).
Sources are included, and this package is under the GNU public licence,
read COPYING.txt file for more information about it.

*** This port is dedicated to my good friend Buzz ***
Enjoy,
Zx.

We’ve had our ups and downs during the past few months (Gnome is away on mandatory military service, and new staff and contributors have came in), but issue 3 of Retroaction is finally here. Coming in at 88 pages, 26mb, and full of the features, interviews and reviews you would expect from us, I believe that we’ve produced one of our best issues yet.
A full rundown of issue 3’s contents is now available at http://www.retroactionmagazine.com/magazine. The usual formats include PDF or ZIP (the ZIP format, besides being 1mb smaller, contains the same PDF with no underscores as spaces). The ISSUU version, which allows viewing of the magazine online, will follow soon. Do let us know what you think of the issue in our forum.

Today Traducciones del T*o Victor has released the final patch for the Spanish translation for the game Zone Of The Enders 1 for the PlayStation 2 console. Fixing out what Konami forgot to do in this game (As the game was officially translated into English, French, German and Italian only), this version fixes the VR Training issues that were in version 0.99.
You’ll have to play this translation on a console, as this game is not yet fully working on emulators. Have fun!

Although there have been many attempts over the years, one group has finally done it! Mystic Ark has just been released by the new group, Dynamic-Designs! Having worked on the project in near-total secrecy over the past year, D-D has revealed to the public its true “Secret Project.” Go on over and check it out.
Note: The game seems to have some aversion to SNES9×1.51, but older versions should display everything just fine.

QI Hardware are soon to release a new competitor to the Homebrew Arena and its a console with the same family of processor as the PSP and Dingoo with a spanky keyboard similiar to the Unreleased Pandora:
Heres the details:
336 MHz XBurst Jz4720 MIPS-compatible CPU
display: 3.0” color TFT
resolution: 320 x 240, 16.7M color
dimension (mm): 99 x 75 x 17.5 (lid closed)
weight: 126 g (incl. battery)
DRAM: 32MB Synchronous DRAM
headphone jack (3.5 mm)
SDHC microSD
850mAh Li-ion battery
2GB NAND flash memory
mini-USB: USB 2.0 High-Speed Device
speaker and microphone
本: běn. The Chinese character 本 signifies an origin or the beginning place; It signifies exactly what the first version of the NanoNote is: a beginning.
The 本 version of NanoNote is an ultra small form factor computing device. The device sports a 336 MHz processor, 2GB of flash memory, microSD slot, head phone jack, USB device and 850mAh Li-ion battery. It boots Linux out of the box and also boots over USB. It’s targeted squarely at developers who see the promise of open hardware and want to roll their own end user experience. It’s the perfect companion for open content; we envision developers turning the device into a music or video player for Ogg or an offline Wikipedia or MIT OpenCourseWare appliance. Or you can simply amaze your friends by creating an ultra small handheld notebook computer. You choose the distribution. The 本 Nanonote is the first in a line of products that will see the addition of other hardware capabilities. Get your NanoNote and start a Nanoproject today. Or join one of the existing projects in our developer community.
Interesting or Not fellow Homebrew Fans ?

Aeon Genesis has updated with news regarding their Mystic Ark project. The script has been inserted, though the game still crashes frequently and there are plenty of bugs. The font is VWF, with auto-center where applicable, and the menus are dual-line.
Further, Aeon Genesis has announced the next several projects that they will be focusing on. After Mystic Ark, these are Holy Umbrella, LUNAR: Walking School, Digital Devil Story: Megami Tensei, and Laplace’s Demon, in that order. Full story at the source.

Hi all,
XTiger is an unix emulator (under X Window) of a TI-92 calculator (Texas instruments).
It was originally written by Jonas Minnberg and was closed source.
Jonas Minnberg has not worked on XTiger for quite a while and he gave
Misha Nasledov the code and permission to GPL it.
Here is a port on GP2X-Wiz of the version i've previously ported to PSP.
This version supports the Wiz Touch screen, for both menus and virtual keyboard !
The package is under GPL Copyright and sources are included.
Many TI92 stuff can be found on the following urls :
http://www.ticalc.org, and on the texas instruments web site http://education.ti.com
Here is a PDF version of the manual : http://www.smendes.com/ti89.pdf
http://zx81.zx81.free.fr/
Enjoy,
Zx.

Yes, load (or issue) 68 is out now. And what delights does this four weekly commercial retrogaming mag have? The highlight, for me anyway, is the Let's All Play feature, which features a familiar name amongst the Michael Jackson's Moonwalker banter. There's also the interview with Gary Bracy, of Ocean Software fame, a look into the Ultima series, a look back at Asteroids (with Ed Logg, etc.), and plenty of other retro goodness. Be sure to check out Retro Gamer's website ( http://www.retrogamer.net/ ) for community written Game Profiles, staff blogs, and much more.
