Some awesome news for Commodore 64 fans, theres a new c64 mini being released soon, heres the details:
The fully licensed re-imagining of the 80’s bestselling home computer - THEC64 Mini – will be released on the 29 March 2018.
Developed by Retro Games Ltd - and distributed by Koch Media – THEC64 Mini is half the size of the original C64 and is a fully functioning home computer that connects directly to your television and comes with two USB ports for the joystick and a keyboard.
Launched in 1982, the C64 home computer went on to dominate the home computer scene throughout the 1980s. Millions of units were sold across the world and have a special place in the hearts of its former owners.
35 years later and it’s back as the reimagined THEC64 Mini. Plugging into any modern TV via its HDMI port, users can play any one of the 64 licensed classic pre-installed games. This includes games from developers like Epyx, Gremlin Graphics, Hewson and The Bitmap Brothers boasting titles such as California Games, Speedball 2: Brutal Deluxe, Paradroid and Impossible Mission.
Also included is the classic puzzler Boulder Dash. The game sees ‘Rockford’ cavern crawling in search of gems while trying to avoid creatures, cave-ins and gas explosions. Stephan Berendsen, President of BBG Entertainment GmbH said: “Retro Games and BBG brought back together what has always belonged dating back to 1984 - the C64 and Boulder Dash.”
Most of these games were rated over 90% by leading publications of the day, with many winning coveted awards. From sports to shooters, platforms to puzzles, there is a plethora of titles to keep the most discerning retro enthusiast happy.

Hoxs64 v1.0.9.7 is released. Hoxs64 is a Commodore 64 emulator for Microsoft Windows 2K/XP/Vista. The emulator substantially reproduces this legacy machine in minute detail
Hoxs64 v1.0.9.7 Changelog:
1) CIA ICR interrupt regression fix that was broken in v1.0.9.6 that prevented the game
International Karate from working.
2) Fixed audio clock sync that was causing slow downs in windowed mode VBL sync.

For a handheld thats been gone for years heres a first time rom hack for the Atari Lynx:
Switchblade II is a platform game, originally released on the Commodore Amiga and Atari ST, with a cut-down port for the Atari Lynx, and now there’s a hack for it. The hack itself is quite simple - giving you the ability to continue from where you died, and giving you only one life at the start as a form of balance - but it’s notable for two reasons.
It’s the very first hack for the Atari Lynx on this site, and secondly, it was done without any debugging tools, save a memory viewer. The author identified the assembly instructions due to their similarity to other systems like the NES, and made educated guesses to achieve the desired effect.
It’s a game that many won’t be aware of, but now that this hack makes it somewhat easier to play, why not give it a try?

Are you an amstrad fan, well heres a brand new emulator for you, heres the release notes:
SugarBox v0.29 is released. Sugarbox is a new emulator for the Amstrad CPC family.
SugarBox v0.29 Changelog:
* Complete PLUS family support : 464+, 6128+, GX4000. All ASIC functions are supported (making modern demo like « CRTC3″ or « Eerie forest » functionnal).
* SNA v3 is supported, with BRKS chunks (breakpoints generated by RASM or Winape)
* Various fix on full screen management (should not crash anymore)
* Various fix on DSK management. More dumps should be analyzed correctly
* IPF support : Generated IPF file should be more reliable (no more crash with Samdisk or DTC from kryoflux)
* Joystick support is better
* Sound have been reworked.

1) CIA old timer B bug timing fixes for Wilfred Bos’s alternate version of the dd0dtest.
2) Updated 8580 SID combined wave with slightly improved samples from a real C64C CSG 8580R5.
3) Added a new joystick setting to enable the use all fire buttons.
4) Added separate VBL sync or line sync options for both Direct X full screen and windowed mode.
5) Fixed the « Stretch with border clip » in some resolutions to provide a more optimal zoom.

Heres a new version of the Amiga Emulator for Windows:
WinFellow v0.5.7 is released. WinFellow is a high performance Amiga Emulator primarily targeted for Windows. It's distinguished API and core does however allow a fairly easy port to other OS.

- floppy code was updated to use a track limit > 80; it will output random data beyond track 80 - fixes Outrun/The Games: Summer Edition; also added missing checks for disabled drives, fixing Winter Olympics 94

- several bugs in the screenshot code were fixed; standalone screenshots were not saved correctly in D3D mode, and used with Amiga Forever raw screenshots were missing screen areas due to faulty initialization of the internal clipping areas
- fixed screen area mismatch when Amiga Forever region/size settings are both set to auto; auto clipping is still not supported
CPU instruction fixes:
- fixed a signed bug in 64-bit division
- minor timing adjustment for btst
- CIA event counter changes according to documentation
- the project files were updated to Visual Studio 2017

Kat5200 v0.8.1 Changelog:
This release contains the following bug fixes and changes:
* Fixed: Database issue causing poor sound and crashes for new installs
* Fixed: GUI: List scrolling in GUI
* Fixed: GUI: Wizard sets input profile after use
* Fixed: GUI: Input profile shows default correctly
* Added: Initial Android support
Notes:
* If you performed a fresh install of 0.8.0 please install this
immediately to fix poor sound and crashing. Updates from previous
version should not be affected.
* Android support is Alpha, requires external controller and is
currently awkward to setup, but works. Recommended steps:
1. Install BIOS and ROMS to device external storage
2. Pair controller to device
3. Install and start kat5200
4. Using Wizard, choose joystick and setup ROM directories
5. Press Ok to Scan using Wizard
6. From Options->User Interface check Start GUI with Launcher
7. If desired check Start Program with GUI
8. Setup controller for Exit and Back actions
9. From Options->Input, check and customize input settings as needed
Start/Pause/Reset/#/* need mapped to controller
10. Launch ROMS from Launcher or File->Load ROM
