Christopher Pow has joined forces with Tim Sarbin aka “essial” to make NESICIDE open source, cross platform (OSX, Linux, and Windows) and multi threaded. This bumps NESICIDE to version 2 and the rendering is done in OpenGL, GUI is using Qt, and audio is using libSDL. NESICIDE now has a git page, which can be found at http://gitorious.org/nesicide. essial says that if you would like to contribute, you can contact them (most of the time) at irc.freenode.net on channel #nesicide
Staff note: There is no new binary release yet, so for now if you’re interested in trying out the program you’ll have no choice but to grab the current source and compile it for yourself.

Gravity Armor Metal Storm is the japanese version of the game released stateside as “Metal Storm”. A cinematic intro was removed (As well as the end boss dialogue), the game made a little easier and virtually all colors were changed for the North American release.
This patch translates the intro/boss fight and also replaces the horrible japanese color scheme with the US one.

Uwol is a greedy little chappy. Not contend with earning millions by selling retro videogames, he wants more. He hears of a millionaire who has hidden a vast amount of gold coins. Unfortunately, the coins seem to have dispersed all around the huge dungeons of the millionaire's manor, which houses some unwelcome hosts. Yep, you guessed it, this is a search, "borrow" and scarper mission, with an undenaiable Mojon Twins' wit thrown in for good measure. Uwol, Quest For Money is a 128k only game that takes advantage of the modified ULA present in emulators such as ZX Spin. The game's instructions and download can be found at the Mojon Twins' website.

Every little boy wants to race in the F1 at some point, but does he want to spend $191,500 on a simulator? Cruden's Hexatech simulator can be fully customized for the real F1, NASCAR or WRC experience.
All of the features, including the chassis, wheelbase and track, tire and suspension, engine, gearbox, differentials, aero loading, aero draft, steering, brakes and ABS can be adapted for your personal use, with each simulator coming with three 42-inch TV screens for the racing to be projected onto.
Cruden is claiming it'll last 10 - 15 years, which works out to around $19,150 a year—surely you can spare that from your annual salary?

In addition to an updated Langrisser patch and new Silviana patch for the MSX, MIJET has a public announcement regarding the first four SegaNET Phantast Star Text Adventures (Kinds, Anne, Huey, Shilka). The ROM’s that were dumped were not complete versions, but beta versions with various bugs. Until someone re-dumps them, they would be ideally played on the MegaCD.

An update from Dynamic Designs’ Mystic Ark project from group member Red Soul:
Today we at D-D released Mystic Ark v 1.1. We are pleased to announce it works universally both on copiers and emulators, including those with accurate coding in mind. For this reason we are recommending BSNES for this release, although one is free to use any of the other excellent SNES emulators available to play our release.
Please consider this fine piece our Christmas gift for the community and expect more great things from D-D in the future.

Although this game is not known to foreigners, in Japan this is one of the most beloved games of all time! The games writer is none other than Kazushige Nojima. He’s famous for his writing in Final Fantasy VII and some other works.
