via pdroms:
You're driving down a 6 line highway, minding your own business, when suddenly a barrage of cars start driving toward you. Soon you realize that you're going the... Wrong Way!
At the start, press a number from 1 to 9 for the speed of the other cars, then use the joystick to go left/right, as well as accelerate/brake. Alternately, you can use the left fire button to accelerate, and the right fire button to brake. Arrive at the destination in time, and you can play the next stage... which is exactly the same (WIP, remember).
This is a VERY EARLY work in progress version.

Already created a PSX ISO from your game disc? Where do you go from here to get the game running on the Sony PSP, you ask? Well my friends, you found the right tutorial right here. Follow the step by step process below and you'll be playing that old PSone game you loved so dearly long ago on your PSP handheld. *Note: Theses PSX eboot files will only work on a PSP thats running a custom firmware.*
Step 1: Download the software below if you don't have it already.
IceTea 1.3 - http://internap.dl.sourceforge.net/s...tea1.3_win.zip
Step 2: Extract the software to your PC and run the IceTea application.
Step 3: You will see the main window open that displays all the basic tasks needed to create the eboot from the PSX ISO. *Supported File Types: (*.img) , (*.iso) , (*.bin)* In the "PSX Image" box, select the PSX image you made using Alcohol 52% or Alcohol 120% (See supported file types) Once you have selected the PSX image you want to convert, the "Game ID" & "Game Title" boxes should fill in with info automatically. If they do, skip to Step 5. If the boxes don't fill in automatically, continue to Step 4.
Step 4: Enter the Unique Game ID into the boxes. It's a four letter prefix & 5 digits. This number can be found on the actual PSone game disc. (Example: SLUS55124 or SCUS55124) Next, enter the name of the eboot as it will be shown in the XMB in the "Game Title" box. (Example: Parasite Eve (Disc 1) [NTSC-U] or C&C Red Alert (Allies Disc) [NTSC-U])
Step 5: In the "Compression" box, move the slider to best compression. This makes the eboot file size a lot smaller. It doesn't affect the gameplay or performance of the PSX eboot whatsoever.
Step 6: In the "Output Directory" box, set where you would like to save your soon to be created eboot file. (Desktop usually is a good idea) Finally, hit the "Let's Go" tab and sit back for a couple minutes while your eboot file is being created. After the file is created, it'll be saved to the directory or folder you chose.
Step 7: Create a new folder titled the name of the game you just converted into an eboot. (Example: Parasite Eve or C&C Red Alert) Place the eboot into that folder. The game is now ready to be transfered to the PSP.
Step 8: Place the folder with the eboot you created in it inside the following directory on the PSP: MS0:/PSP/GAME (Example: MS0:/PSP/GAME/Parasite Eve/EBOOT.PBP) Disconnect the PSP from your PC, scroll over to the Game option in the XMB and you should see your PSX game. Thats all there is to it. The P.O.P.S. (Playstation One Portable Station - Sony's offical PSX emulator built-in their newer firmwares and almost ALL custom firmwares 3.03 OE-C & above) is fully adjustable, adjust the settings of the playstation emulator by pressing the home button on the PSP. Here you can change the screen size, control scheme, disc speed, volume, and brightness options.
Tip: If the eboot isn't playing properly, you may need to update your firmware to a newer version to receive the latest P.O.P.S emulator. (Example: Dark_AleX 3.30 OE-A to Dark_AleX 3.40 OE-A or Team M33 3.51-7 to Team M33 3.52-4) With each new firmware, Sony updates their emulation software for more support.
Tip: Once you load the PSX eboot on your PSP for the 1st time, it will automatically generate a "Save Game" file in the Save Data Utillity inside the "Game" tab of the XMB. This file saves your custom P.O.P.S. settings as well as acts as original PSone memory card(s).

September 24th, 2007, 09:27 Posted By: ice_storme
Step 1: You will need to download the following software: Alcohol 52% (Freeware) or Alcohol 120% (Trial, requires purchase) *Note: For this tutorial, I'll be using Alcohol 52% as it is free.*
Alcohol 52% http://mirror5.free-downloads.net/3/...1.9.6.5429.exe (Supported OS: Windows NT 3.x, Windows NT 4.x, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista)
Alcohol 120% http://mirror3.free-downloads.net/3/...1.9.6.5429.exe (Supported OS: Windows NT 3.x, Windows NT 4.x, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista)
Alcohol 120% http://mirror3.free-downloads.net/3/...1_9_5_3105.exe (Supported OS: Windows 98/ME)
Step 2: Install the Alcohol software onto your PC.
Step 3: Open the alcohol application from either your desktop or start menu on the windows task bar.
Step 4: Once the software is open, you will see the main window that displays the drives (physical & virtual) that are attached to your PC. You should also see the "Image Making Wizard" tab on the left side of that same window. If not, you can access it from the file menu. Click File then scroll down to Image Making Wizard and click again.
Step 5: Now that the wizard is open the rest of this process will be a breeze. Insert your PSX game into your PC's CD-Rom/DVD-Rom drive. On the "Datatype" option at the bottom of the wizard, change it to "Playstation". Make sure the box is checked for "Read Sub-Channel Data from current disc". Change the drive's read speed to "Maximum". (Use a slower speed if you have a slow computer) Now, click the Next tab on the wizard to continue.
Step 6: On the "Image Location" box, select where you would like to save this soon to be created ISO. (Use the Windows Desktop for easy file retrieval) Next, title the "Image Name" option in the box to the name of the PSone game you are ripping. (I'll be ripping Parasite Eve, so... the file name is Parasite_Eve or ParasiteEve) Next, change the "Image Format" box to CloneCD Image File(*.ccd). Last, click the Start Tab. The ripping process will take a few minutes to complete. Upon a successful PSX dump, Alcohol will notify you with a sound.
Step 7: Alcohol should have created three (3) files. Your_Game.ccd , Your_Game.img , and Your_Game.sub. Place all three files into a folder that is titled the name of your game. (So, my files look like this - Parasite_Eve.ccd , Parasite_Eve.img , and Parasite_Eve.sub. I created a new folder on the Windows Desktop titled "Parasite Eve" and placed all three files in it.)
Thats all there is to it. You now have a 1:1 ripped PSX ISO of the actual game. *Note: The ISO is not playable on the Sony PSP until it has been converted into an "eboot" file. I will cover that topic in the next tutorial "How to Create a PSX eboot". Also note that these "eboot" files are only playable on a Sony PSP using a custom firmware, such as Dark_AleX OE, Team M33, Team Wildcard, etc.

Hi All,
fMSX is a famous emulator of the MSX, MSX2, and MSX2+ 8bit home computers.
It runs MSX/MSX2/MSX2+ software on many different platforms including Windows
and Unix. See http://fms.komkon.org/fMSX/ for further informations.
It has been first written by Marat Fayzullin, and later Vincent van Dam ported it on SDL.
GP2X-MSX is a port on GP2X of the version 2.7.0.40 of fMSX-SDL from Vincent van Dam
that i had previously ported to PSP.
What's new in this version ?
- Huge speed improvements !
- New graphics
- Display and save thumbnail images for each save state
- Add a simple intro splash screen
- Support iso8859-1 fonts in print text functions
(might be useful to translate menus in german, french ...)

Hi All,
Here is a new version of PSPMSX the MSX series Emulator for PSP.
For those who haven't seen previous versions, fMSX is a famous emulator
of the MSX, MSX2, and MSX2+ 8bit home computers.
It runs MSX/MSX2/MSX2+ software on many different platforms
including Windows and Unix.
See http://fms.komkon.org/fMSX/ for further informations.
It has been first written by Marat Fayzullin, and later Vincent van Dam
ported it on SDL.
What's new in version 1.2.0 :
- Huge speed improvements, it runs now faster than 60 fps
using only 222Mhz PSP clock frequency
- IR keyboard support !
- New graphics and eboot icons
- Display and save thumbnail images for each save state
- Add a new render mode (fit height)
- New speed limiter function
- Add option to display fps rate
- Now compatible with custom firmwares 3.x and PSP-slim
- Add a simple intro splash screen
- Support iso8859-1 fonts in print text functions
(might be useful to translate menus in german, french ...)
- Bug fix and code cleaning
How to use it ? Everything is in the README.txt file.
Sources are included, and are distributed under Marat Fayzullin's license
for the original MSX part, and under GNU license for all the PSP part.

Here's a quick guide to storing any files you might have.
before getting into it, keep note that you won't be able to use them on your PS3 if the XMB doesn't already support it.
==============================
Color code:
Blue = Important step or word.
Gray = Word-for-word option in XMB used in the process of storing, or botton on the controller.
==============================
1. Obtain a usb cord and a storage device, or a storage device that connects directly to the system(s).
2. Rename your file to end with the suffix .MP4 (via PC or other available method). If the file you're storing is a video, then this step is unnecessary
3. Connect your storage to the PS3, go to Video in the XMB, press Triangle when the storage device's icon is highlighted, then select Display All.
4. Locate your file(s) and press Triangle for your options, then select Copy. If you have multiple files, select Copy Multiple from the top in the options menu and proceed to copy like you would for any other media.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
5. Notice: They will display as corrupt or unsupported videos at the bottom of the list.
6. Identifying your stored files: Highlight one of the corrupt or unsupported video files at the bottom of the list, press Triangle for your options, and select Information. The filename will be at the top of the information list, along with it's original extension, if you left it on there. Unfortunately, this is the only method to navigate your files using the XMB only.
===========================
a few compression tips:
--Before compressing, make sure you set the compression level to the highest possible.
--RAR is a very powerful generic compression format.
--7z is a "picky-eater" but more often than not, has a (5~20%) better compression than RAR
--Experiment with various formats on like-files to save the most space.

With the success of DCEmu Reviews a site that has its content showing up on our PSP, DS, Wii, PS3 and Xbox360 and the main DCEmu Portal site. I Wanted to create a new Guide/Tutorials site where new guides and tutorials will show up on any of our network sites.
Just like our news where any coders can upload their releases and post releases and WIP News this will be extended to our Guides and Tutorials Site.
We will be accepting Guides and Tutorials for any Console Scene We Cover and the beauty of it is because the creators will be you the DCEmu Members which means that if you please you can update as you want. What this will mean that if all goes well then this new site could be a great help base for the whole Homebrew scene.
The forums are already set up here and you can submit new Guides and Tutorials in our new Submit Tutorials/Guides Forum
The Site is still being worked on but will be ready at the weekend.
So if you have any guides and tutorials for PS3, Wii, Xbox360, PSP, Nintendo DS, GP2X, GBA, Gamecube, PS2, Xbox, Gizmondo, Iphone, iPod, Tapwave Zodiac, GP32, Dreamcast, Sega Saturn and others, then we want them
