We already knew what Marshall was capable of when we caught wind of his masterfully assembled portable Nintendo 64, but the modder extraordinaire has really outdone himself this time. As the name implies, The Multari is a portable Atari 2600 with 32 games built right in. The chassis itself was crafted from vacuum-formed styrene plastic, and aside from the colorful buttons and iconic D-pad, there's also a 5-inch display and what appears to be a set of speakers. Mmm, retro never looked so good.

Continuing our network wide feature for just about every console thats emulated and that we own, in time it can be used as a reference point for people to look at what games are the very best on each system
Firstly heres a look at each system and a description to remind you of the history of the console.
Sega 32X / Mega 32X
It was the winter of 1994, and new more powerful consoles were entering the videogame market. Gamers were enjoying new 3D arcade games, and the 16-bit Genesis / Megadrive seemed to be feeling its age. It was January 8th 1994 when Sega CEO Hayao Nakayama directed his company to produce a 32-bit cartridge-based console to be in stores by Christmas 1994. The project was dubbed Jupiter. The project was given to Sega of America while their Japan sector worked on a CD-Based console. Not happy with the idea of developing a simple console that had a 32-bit processor and more colors, Joe Miller of Sega of America chose to make the project an add on for the Genesis / Megadrive. Sega of America began development on the add on called project Mars without any knowledge of the 32-bit CD console being developed by their Japanese counterparts.
Sega began their marketing campaign for project Mars, and called the device Sega 32X to emphasis its 32-bit capabilities. The device, which connected through the Genesis / Megadrive cartridge port, combined its 32-bit processor with the consoles existing processor. Gamers could play 32-bit cartridge games, use the 32X slot as a pass through to play Genesis / Megadrive games, and even play enhanced 32-bit CD games if the Sega CD was attached. The 32X was released in mid-November 1994 in America for US. Japan got the console in December (Super 32X) and Europe and Australia received it in January 1995 (Mega 32X). With the added power, Sega was able to port their 3D arcade titles for console users, and other 3rd Party developers began jumping aboard.
All was not good with planet Mars. The 32X was off to a bad start from the beginning. The 32X was launched with no games initially available. Although it was marketed at a decent price it was not packaged with a pack in game, but came with 10 coupons toward the purchase of 32X software (Couponsmeh!). Retailers submitted a demand for over 1 million units, but only half of the amount was made available. In there efforts to meet demand, Sega produced 32X units with various defects. Customers reported incompatibilities with their Genesis / Megadrive models or TVs. Once again Sega began to scramble to create adapters to alleviate the compatibility problems. They also began to develop an all in one unit combining both the Genesis / Megadrive, and the 32X and dubbed it project Neptune.
By 1995 news of a 32-bit CD-based Sega Saturn began stirring from Japan. Developers lost interest in 32X and abandoned development for 32X carts for a more favorable 32-bit CD format. Gamers also caught wind of the news and quickly began losing interest in the Sega 32X.
By 1996 the 32X saw a total of 31 cart based games, and five 32X enhanced Sega CD games. Most of the games were developed by Sega themselves or were color enhanced versions of existing Genesis titles. Sega ceased all support for 32X that year in order to focus on the Sega Saturn. It would seem that the 32X was merely meant to fill the time gap for its CD based counterpart. 32X would also be Segas final attempt at add on enhancing devices.
FACT: The 32X appeared to be the downturn of Sega. The lack of developer support, device incompatibilities and defects, and the sheer abandonment of support for 32X owners was enough to damage Segas reputation. This mistake could possibly have contributed to problems in Segas later years.
A year prior, Sega fell into issues with congress over a game called Night Trap. The game that stirred up the hornets nest over videogame violence was pulled off retail shelves. This prompted much curiosity and interest in gamers that never got the opportunity to play it. Sega wisely seized an opportunity to cash in by releasing a 32X enhanced version of Night Trap. A major cash in on an otherwise mediocre game.

Welcome to this week's toys update. Check out the wonderful collectibles we just got in stock and all the new products made available for preorder.
As toys, especially collectible ones, are produced in limited numbers and are often sold out prior to the actual release date, we strongly recommend to preorder the figures of your desire as early as possible.
As bargain of the week we have the limited edition action figure of Conan Pre-Painted PVC Figure: Black Wolf (Limited Edition) sold at a discounted price of US$ 2.99 only and the maximum purchase is limited to 3 units per customer. Having said that, we keep it like Conan: No words, just actions.
Cool new products from this week include Super Mario Bros Pre-Painted Statue (Medium): Mario and Fire Mario. What makes these products special is that they are larger than all other Mario statues that we ever had (48 cm tall) and constructed to life-like proportions. It is surprising that they don't suddenly come to life and start bouncing across your table top.
Other products that convert your home into a real life Super Mario game are the Super Mario Bros. Sound Drops Gashapon (Edition 2008). Listen to the familiar sounds from the game with a press of a button. The sounds from the eight gashapons are "Start, "Jump", "Big", "Coin", "1up!", "In", "Swim" and "Ouch". You can now stay in the world of Super Mario Brothers even after you have turned your console off.
Aside from the mascot from Nintendo's most beloved game, a Princess from the Moon has graced us with her presence. Brighter than Dawning Blue 1/8 Scale Pre-Painted PVC Figure: Feena Fam (Swimsuit Version) brought out the regal and charming aspects of the girl in a leisurely moment. The straw hat and the pareo she wears around her waist can be taken off.
A fearsome monster, Dynamic Monster Arts Vol. 2 Monster Hunter Pre-Painted Statue Dragon came in this week as a preorder. Although it is a miniature model of the real beast in the game, the statue is completed to the finest degree with every scale on its skin and cuticle on its claw carved in detail.

Welcome to this week's Movie/Music news roundup, containing new Japanese and Hong Kong Video and Music releases from this week listed at Play-Asia.com. Around 560 new items are covered in this week, including new J-Pop, Anime as well as Japanese, Hong Kong and Western movie releases and much more.
An interesting product is available for preorder from this week onwards. CJ7 [Blu-ray region A and Region 3 DVD] versions are going to be released in early April. The film is about a widower Ti and his son Dicky's encounter with an adorable fluffy alien. At first, Dicky only sees the toy-like alien his father picks up from the dump for him as an opportunity to show something off to his classmates. However, contrary to its appearance, the alien is neither a toy nor a pet and will not take orders from anyone.
As comedic events erupts in schools, Dicky learns about the true meaning of family and friendship, not only with his father, teachers and fellow classmates, but with the extraterrestrial visitor as well. This is a heart warming film filled with slap stick comedy that is suitable for the whole family.
Aside from this sci-fi comedy, .hack//G.U. Trilogy [Blu-ray region A and Region 2 DVD] versions are also released this week. In the large scale online game "The World" accidents have been happening, once logged onto the system, people are not allowed to log out, and once they are P.Ked in the game, the players in the actual world fall into a coma.
To make matters worse, the system was destroyed once, and the new game "The World: R2" is even more dystopic than the last one and is regulated only through jungle laws. The 90 minute .hack//G.U. Trilogy is an OVA based on the game and follows the path of revenge of the hero Haseyo, who witnessed his friends being PKed by a mysterious killer.
Be prepared for the crushing force of this movie for it's dazzling graphics and effects, hauntingly beautiful BGM, intricately woven storylines and complex characters. Aside from the movie itself, .hack//G.U.Trilogy Original Soundtrack [Limited Edition] is also in stock and available at Play-Asia.com.
Here's a summary of all new releases that were published between Saturday, March 22nd and Friday, March 28th. If some specific item that you are looking for is missing, please don't hesitate to contact our customer service with your request.

Hi All,
Stella is on of the best emulator of Atari 2600 game console, running
on many different systems, such as Linux, Solaris, Windows, MacOS/X,
WinCE, OS/2, GP2X.
It has been written initially by Bradford Mott, see Stella site for details.
GP2X-2600 is a port on GP2X of my previous port to PSP.
My PSP version is based on the work of Aenea who was the first to port
Stella to PSP.
What's new this version :
- Auto-fire mode, press RTrigger+X to switch it on/off
useful for games such as space invaders !
On given games, the auto fire can't be stopped, so an
option to stop it, is available in the settings menu.
- RTrigger/LTrigger keys can be used in the keyboard
settings menu to navigate between Normal, LTrigger
and RTrigger compose mapping.
- Add several new hotkeys :
. settings such as fps, render mode, auto fire speed
can now be directly modified inside the emulator
(no need to enter in the settings menu)
. quick save / quick load current state
(no need to enter in the main menu)
- Default Hotkeys can now be set in the keyboard mapping menu
(useful to add hotkeys on existing/previous keyboard files)
How to use it ? Everything is in the README.txt file.
You can download it on my blog :
http://zx81.zx81.free.fr/
Thanks to Stella team for this nice emulator, and to all
GP2X-SDK developers.
Special thanks to Slaanesh, Manjuu and Sbock.
Enjoy,
Zx.

The bargain of the week is New Super Mario Bros. 300 Pieces Jigsaw Puzzle - 002. This colorful jigsaw puzzle set is suitable for all beginners and children older than three. Because the pieces are large they are not only easy to put together, but there is less risk in losing a piece.
Although the pack consists of 300 pieces alone, the finished product is as large as a standard 500 pieces puzzle. As seen in the above picture, the jigsaw puzzle charts out Mario's closest friends and foes along with their names, glue the finished product together and hang it onto a wall to make a lovely poster. This pack is now sold at a discounted price of US$ 5.99 only and the maximum purchase is limited to 5 units per customer.
Cool products that came in this week include One Piece Chara Fortune Non Scale Pre-Painted Mini Mascot key chain that allows you to tell your fortune with it. Together with the cute super deformed mascots, the pack comes with a slip, printed with the show's many motif's as well as advice of the day from the characters. Follow their advice and every day is a happy day.
While the one piece mascots are adorably deformed, Cool Girl Appleseed 2 EX Machina 1/6 Scale Pre-Painted Figure: Deuman Knute in CG is made with great care such that her proportions and weightings are as life-like as possible. Figures from the Cool Girl series are known for their flexibility as well as sexiness. Deuman is carefully structured with joints that allows her to balance herself on the most acrobatic of postures.
Music Label Transformers G1 Convoy iPod Speaker with Dock is another cool product that just came in this week. The body of the truck transforms into an ipod stand and speakers while the head of the truck turns into a robot. The new colors on the robot and designs on the speakers makes the gadget more fashionable than ever. As this is licensed by Apple for the iPod, 100% compatibility with the music player is guaranteed.
Final Fantasy Stuffed Plush Doll: Sabotenda, Moguri and Tonberry are available as preorders. These are hot products that have been sold out previously, and it is precisely because they are so popular, Square Enix decides to give them a rerun. For all those who has missed them on their first release, now's your chance to grab them.

I have a psp slim with the latest sony firmware, I tried to load pspbeeb on it last night and went to the games on the memory card and it just said corrupt data.
I've tried various things in the past some have worked and some not, usually due to the fact that I am running official sony firmware.
Is this another case of the firmware being the issue?
I don't know anyone with a psp except my 7 year old nephew (who doesnt have custom fw on his) so I assume I would have to faf with a pandora's battery etc.
All I am tying to play is Labyrinth!! - Has anyone used labyrinth on the psp via pspbeeb? - if so is it usable? (Otherwise I won't bother trying to put custom firmware on my psp!)
I have original BBC images of labyrinth that I'd really like to play, however, I think the firmware is being the issue atm - can anyone confirm?
Cheers!
P.S. I've looked and im pretty certain - but there isnt a bbc emulator for the DS is there? (I have a DS and an R4)

Flavor has posted a new Version of his translation of the Neo-Geo Pocket Color game SNK vs. Capcom - Card Fighters 2
As of 3-18-08, all in-game "text" (except the on-card "flavor" text) is translated.
There are some graphics that are still in Japanese.
The card flavor text has not been translated yet.
