KingMike released a patch that will allow you to save your party at the RPG SNES title Super Ninja Boy.
This is what KingMike said:
You may remember Super Ninja Boy, an RPG with beat-em-up battles and a few platformer scenes. An interesting game, and a shame it's also one of the SNES RPGs where the designers decided not to include battery backup.
Well, I changed that.
This patch is to be applied to a headerless ROM. Currently, it works properly in ZSNES and SNES9x. It is functional in bsnes, but it won't display the instructions or display the password entered. Loading the password crashes the game on real hardware, but if anybody has ideas how to fix my code (included), I'd be glad to hear.
To save a game, just choose the PASSWORD option in the main game menu or in a convenience store. The game (should) prompt to save. Press B if you want to save the game, overwriting the last stored password. Press Y if you don't want to store the password.
To load a game, go to the password entry screen and press Y. This should input the stored password. Now just choose END to load the game.

What better way to transport yourself back to the time of arcade dominance than an actual time machine? Simon Jansen obviously has too much time on his hands, being the man behind the ASCII recreation of the original Star Wars film, and now we know where he's been getting all of that time. Not only did he build his own version of Doctor Who's Tardis, he stuffed it with a folding MAME cabinet so he could play games from the past! Jansen has painstakingly documented the entire process, including a picture of his lizard, which I am positive was integral to the project. If I lived in a bizarro world where I didn't need to work and sleep in order to survive, I would have two of these.

Hi All,
For those who haven't seen previous version, Xroar is the best emulator
of Dragon32/64 and Tandy Coco home computer running on many systems
such as Linux, Unix, Mac OS X, GP32 and Windows32.
See http://www.6809.org.uk/dragon/xroar.shtml for further informations.
PSPDragon is a port on PSP of the version 0.19 of Xroar.
What's new then in this version :
- Speed improvements
- Add vsync option
- Add artifact mode
- Auto-fire mode, press RTrigger+X to switch it on/off
- New command menu to run disk program
- Bug fix in the low battery watchdog
Special thanks to Ciaran Anscomb for this great emulator, Raven's for
eboot icons and to all PSPSDK developpers.
How to use it ? Everything is in the README.txt file.
Sources are included, and this package is under the GNU public licence,
read COPYING.txt file for more information about it.
I've removed the tape support since it was buggy, and all games are available on disk
(so no need to support tape).
I don't plan to work on this emulator in a near futur, so it might be a final version.
You can find it here: http://zx81.zx81.free.fr/
Enjoy,
Zx.

Is there seriously a market for doo-dahs like this?
Sega has already released the i-Dog, i-Cat, and i-Platypus (okay, maybe not the last one), so I guess they figure there's money to be made in robotic speakers for our portable music players.
The latest offering from Sega is the i-spin, and it appears to be a robotic egg that'll connect to your iPod, pumping out the tunes via the speaker while spinning around like a caffeine-infused robot. That's right, it's yet another dancing robot for, well, no real reason whatsoever.
I realize that bloggers can get a little lonely sometimes, sitting at their computers all day, but looking for companionship through a spinning robot speaker is not the way to go.

eMotion has released a portable media player (PMP) that is charged by solar panels on the back of the device. At first glance, this gadget seems poised to strike a blow for battery curmudgeons everywhere. It's easy to see the list of things that the device claims to be able to do and get excited. Upon further inspection, however, it would seem that this device leaves lots to be desired.
EM-SOL1GIG PMP
The EM-SOL1GIG PMP has an impressive list of capabilities. You can listen to music, watch video, read books, play games in an emulator-like environment, and transfer files on and off using the built-in SD card reader. The device supports a maximum SD card size of 2GB and allows you to load it with your own music, TXT format books, AVI format videos, and even ROMS for older video game systems like the NES and SEGA. Perhaps one of the most intriguing features is the ability to charge other portable devices you own off of the EM-SOL1GIG - that's right, use a charger adapter to power your other devices from the Sun!
The disappointments roll in a few minutes later after you've had time to digest the features list and see the glaring holes. Why not support a 4GB SD card? Why not provide playback for other popular music file formats like OGG and FLAC? No DivX support could also be a major issue for many people. No PDF file support for reading books means many of the digital books I have purchased will not be able to be viewed on this device. The screen, coming in at 320x240, is a bit small too - especially for how big the actual device is.
This device was a good attempt at making a really useful PMP. The price tag isn't too bad either - $169. While the features list may have some holes, overall, this device is very intriguing.

Around 500 new items are covered in this week, including new J-Pop, Anime as well as Japanese, Hong Kong and Western movie releases and much more.
This week we bring you Grindhouse Complete Box [Limited Edition] by two quintessential directors Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez. Although the directors playfully named their project The Grindhouse, which means multi-feature length B-movies in the 70s, the two films in this project, Planet Terror and Death Proof, cannot be further away from the B-movie genre.
Planet Terror and Death Proof are filled to the brim with action, glamour, excellent performances by a star studded cast and excitement. Accompanying the two films, this DVD set is complete with plenty of other goodies like behind-the-scene clips and interviews with the directors.

To those who are looking for trendy Japanese music that combines postmodern stylishness and old time elegance, Miyavi -This Iz The Japanese Kabuki Rock- [CD+DVD Limited Edition] and its standard edition are in stock now. Miyavi is a perfect example of the visual kei rock star, he takes his musical performances past the audio realm to the visual realm by his extravagant make up and costumes that compliments his vocal style to a perfect degree. Flavor posted this news and as it concerns so many of our different scenes this is a network post:
This feels like a big relief for me. I hope there aren't much for bug reports. I need to get back to real life for a while. Enough about me, though, let's get to the good news.
SNK Vs. Capcom Card Fighters' Clash 2 English Edition is now available for download. It runs on PSP, Nintendo DS, NGPC, GP2X, PC, Mac, and wherever else NGPC ROMs can be played. Without further ado, I present to you the download link for CFC2English.
UPDATE: Okay, there was a bug in the CFC2English release. I have now fixed it (I hope). This link should now contain the proper files. I'm sorry for any confusion.
http://drop.io/cfc2english
The CFC2English ZIP file contains an IPS patch. You will need to have the original Japanese ROM file of CFC2 (and some IPS patching software) to apply the patch. FYI, the SHA1 hash of the patched ROM should be 5CF9428A6864802D26F59C2364F476012896628A and the MD5 should be E324C1CEB54080AE5BE1065B91243331.
If you want to play it on the Nintendo DS, you will need CFC2English, CFC2EnglishDS, and the original Japanese CFC2 ROM (to apply the IPS patch to).
I know that the patching is a bit of a hassle, but that's the way I must do it. I will not release a full ROM. Though, I'm guessing that, by the time most of you read this, someone will have patched the ROM themselves and put it somewhere on the web.
Also, I have added the PSP version of the RACE emulator in that file drop. That should allow you PSP users to play any NGPC ROM. If you want to play it on other systems, I suggest looking for NeoPop or whatever other emulator is available for your favorite platform.
If you have any problems or questions, please leave a comment.
Oh, and if any of you happen to make any videos (like YouTube or whatever) of this stuff running, I'd love to see them.
Alright, it's obvious that you already know about this project, but there are others out there that don't. Some of them would love to play this game. If you are a member of any forums, mailing lists, or any other sort of medium that would discuss this sort of thing, please spread the word. I'd prefer that our hard work be appreciated by as many people as possible, so go out and spread the good news.

Let's not get hung up on trying to figure out a use for this thing, and just admire it for what it is: awesome. Jim built this "Spectrum ZX Laptop" out of an old ZX Spectrum 48k and a Toshiba Libretto 110, using the Libretto for innards and the screen, while the Spectrum serves as a case and keyboard. The "laptop" gets a couple hours of batter life, and naturally Jim is running Linux on here -- he plans to emulate some old ZX Spectrum games with it, but mostly it's just art.

Welcome to this week's toys update. Check out the wonderful collectibles we just got in stock and all the new products made available for preorder.
As toys, especially collectible ones, are produced in limited numbers and are often sold out prior to the actual release date, we strongly recommend to preorder the figures of your desire as early as possible.
Good news to all figure collectors and toy lovers, we have decided on giving a special discount every week as an act of expressing our gratitude for your support.
This week, we bring you SR Super Sea Story Figure Collection Gashapon. Although the heroine Marin from Super Sea Story is an immensely popular character, she is seldom made into a figure. Her gashapons come in six different poses, five of them are as seen in the picture, the sixth is a secret version. Although tiny, she is made to the last detail with loving care and it is indeed a rare treat to have her. She is now sold at a discounted price of US$ 0.99 only and the maximum purchase is limited to 20 units per customer.
Other cool products that came in this week are the 2008 editions of Iwaver FM 1/28 Digital Proportional RC Model Cars. These toy cars are miniature clones of the real cars they are modelled after, complete with functions and controls which are similar to one. The remote control carries an LCD screen, driver's wheel to allow proportional steering and a braking system. The model cars themselves are built with a small but powerful motor. Additional parts are included for hours of tuning fun.
The models that are currently in stock now include the Ford GT, Mini Coopers [Blue, Silver and White] and the Saleen. Other models are going to reach us next week, please check here for the complete listing of models we offer.

In these classic gaming news updates you will find a frequent summary of all classical titles which were added to our site. Availability is subject to frequent changes and fast decisions are recommended as we usually have only very few copies of those titles that are listed below. As always we are trying to expand our catalogue regularly.
In case a title is already listed as sold out, we recommend you use our Track it Down! feature or subscribe to our Personal Agent on the item's product page. We are monitoring your subscription and try to restock the title if possible. Once the game is back in stock, you will automatically receive an e-mail notification from us.
Further, if you are looking for any title that is not listed on our website yet, you are always welcome to contact our customer service with your request. We will try our best to track down the requested title and add them to our website with one of our next major updates.
If you are interested in Classic Games, and you wouldn't read this otherwise, we know you are interested in The Encyclopedia of Game.Machines. Covering 33 years of video games history on 224 full colour pages. Ships within 24hrs as well and makes a good addon to an order of any classic game.
Also you might take a look at the Classic Game Room DVD. "Classic Game Room" was the first classic video game review show on the Internet in 1999 and 2000. It returns as a feature-length comedy film about the triumphant story of online success, failure, obscurity, resurrection and success again! It features hillarious reviews of lots of interesting classic gaming titles.

Hi All,
TI99Sim is a very good emulator of Texas Instruments
TI99 home computer running on Windows and Unix.
The emulator faithfully imitates the TI99/4 model
(see http://www.mrousseau.org/programs/ti99sim/)
PSPTI99 is a port on PSP of the version 0.1.0 of TI99Sim.
What's new then in this version ?
- Speed improvements
- Add vsync and autofire options
- Add several new hotkeys :
. settings such as fps, render mode, auto fire speed
can now be directly modified inside the emulator
(no need to enter in the settings menu)
. quick save / quick load current state
(no need to enter in the main menu)
- Default Hotkeys can now be set in the keyboard mapping menu
(useful to add hotkeys on existing/previous keyboard files)
- Bug fix in the low battery watchdog
How to use it ? Everything is in the README.txt file.
If you want to convert games etc ... have a look to Ti99/sim web site
for more informations (http://www.mrousseau.org/programs/ti99sim/).
Sources are included, and this package is under the GNU public licence,
read COPYING.txt file for more information about it.
If you encounter any issue with the "save state" then reload the cartridge
you were playing, and then reload the save state.
You can download it here http://zx81.zx81.free.fr/
Enjoy,
Zx.

Welcome to this week's Movie/Music news roundup, containing all new Japanese and Hong Kong Video and Music releases from this week listed at Play-Asia.com. Around 220 new items are covered in this week, including new J-Pop, Anime as well as Japanese, Hong Kong and Western movie releases and much more.
From the publisher: Appleseed EX Machina is set in the city of Olympus, Briareos, a cyborg soldier and Deunan, a young female warrior, are both partners and lovers. As members of the special elite force, their duties are to help protect and maintain the city.
The two fighters find their partnership tested in a new way by the arrival of a new member to their ranks named Tereus. Using Briareos's DNA as a blueprint, Tereus uncannily resembles Briareos...both physically and mentally. Tereus also has strong romantic feelings for Deunan..... Who does she choose?
Aside from the exciting Sci-fi animated movie, Play-Asia.com also brings you Mika Nakashima's newest single Sakura - Hanagasumi right in time for this Spring season. Her voice carries a unique timbre and she has an impressive vocal range, with this talent, she seeks to recreate the image of Spring and Sakura through music.
Namie Amuro once again established her standing as a trend setter in the field of fashion and music as Vidal Sassoon's image girl. Her newest work, 60s 70s 80s [CD+Poster Limited Edition and CD+DVD Edition] is a mixture of nostalgia and chic. Although she has faced set backs in her career, her talents as an artist shines out like the liquid diamond that coats her glossy mane.
